A Sensor based turning dataset for data-driven surface roughness estimation

Machining data for a particularly difficult-to-machine material, namely Inconel-625 is presented. Inconel is widely used in aerospace applications and is difficult to machine as unlike other materials, Inconel does not get softer with increasing temperature. This data set comprises of 27 sets of Accelerometer data and Dynamometer data acquired during the machining of Inconel -625 on a Kirloskar Turnmaster 40 Lathe. A Mitutoyo Surface Roughness Tester was used to measure the surface roughness after each turning operation.
本数据集提供了针对极难加工材料因科内尔-625(Inconel-625)的加工实验数据。因科内尔合金广泛应用于航空航天领域,其与常规材料不同,不会随温度升高发生软化现象,因此加工难度极高。本数据集包含27组由加速度计(Accelerometer)与测力仪(Dynamometer)采集得到的加工数据,采集场景为在Kirloskar Turnmaster 40型车床上对因科内尔-625开展车削加工的过程。每次车削作业完成后,均采用三丰(Mitutoyo)表面粗糙度测试仪对工件表面粗糙度进行测量。
