Under the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act 1948, fair rents were to be established by application to a Fair Rents Board. Each Board was to consist of a police magistrate sitting alone and without being bound by legal forms and solemnities although legal representation was permitted.This series is the record of the sittings of the Fair Rents Board at Geelong.根据《1948年房东与租户（修订）法案》，需向公平租金委员会（Fair Rents Board）提出申请以核定公平租金。各委员会均由一名独任治安法官组成，尽管可委托法律代理人出庭，但无需恪守法定程序与形式要件。本系列数据集为吉朗（Geelong）地区公平租金委员会的庭审记录。
