Urban Growth Boundary

The Urban Growth Boundary is adopted as a part of the Durham Comprehensive Plan and defines the geographic limit of the City and County utility service area. It is referenced in both the Durham Unified Development Ordinance and the Durham City Code. Changes to the Urban Growth Boundary can only be approved by a vote of the City Council and/or Board of County Commissioners.
