Living shoreline monitoring data from Choctawhatchee, Pensacola and St. Andrew Bay, Florida from 2024-02-29 to 2024-11-22

This dataset contains living shoreline monitoring data from Choctawhatchee, Pensacola and St. Andrew Bay, Florida, obtained from 2024-02-29 to 2024-11-22. A total of 30 living shoreline sites across the project area were monitored quarterly in 2024 to determine effectiveness. Field monitoring included quantifying the presence and density of marsh, submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV), and fish and bivalve species on and adjacent to the shoreline. To quantify marsh and SAV, we will quantify percent cover of species and shoot density in quadrats on and adjacent to the shoreline. Fish species were quantified using seine nets and minnow traps. Oyster density was quantified through counting live and dead oysters in a quadrat or on an oyster bag, depending on the site.
