SARS-CoV-2-PCR testing in Germany

The diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 plays a crucial role in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. The significance lies not only in the diagnostic clarification, but also has an outstanding position for the assessment of the epidemiological development and with regard to strategies to slow down the current events in Germany. The recording of the PCR tests performed and the determination of the proportion of SARS-CoV-2 positive PCR tests allow an assessment of the effectiveness of the measures and the implementation of the test strategy. Against this background, data submitted to the RKI on PCR tests, PCR test results and test capacities in Germany are provided as open data.严重急性呼吸综合征冠状病毒2型（SARS-CoV-2，即COVID-19）的诊断，在应对COVID-19大流行的工作中发挥着至关重要的作用。其重要性不仅体现在明确诊断结果层面，在流行病学态势评估以及德国境内减缓疫情发展的相关策略制定中，亦占据举足轻重的地位。对已开展的聚合酶链式反应（Polymerase Chain Reaction，简称PCR）检测进行记录，并统计SARS-CoV-2阳性PCR检测的占比，可用于评估各项防疫措施的有效性与检测策略的落实情况。在此背景下，德国境内提交给罗伯特·科赫研究所（Robert Koch Institute，RKI）的PCR检测相关数据、PCR检测结果及检测能力数据，均以开放数据的形式对外提供。
