Prehospital dyspnoea

Observational study, which was based on retrospective journal review. The samples consisted of all ambulance missions (n=7260) that were classified as ESS 04 (dyspnoea as the main symptom) by ambulance clinicians during the year 2017 in two areas in southwestern Sweden, which included 16 ambulance stations. After a manual review of ambulance records and hospital records, 908 patients were excluded (reason: age < 16 years, missing social security number, ambulance transports to hospitals outside included areas, duplicate ambulance records, insufficient documentation, incorrect ESS code and secondary transports). This meant that 6354 patients were finally included.本研究为基于回顾性文献审查的观察性研究。研究样本涵盖2017年瑞典西南部两个区域内，由急救医护人员归类为ESS 04（以呼吸困难为主要症状）的全部急救出诊任务（n=7260），该两个区域共设有16个急救站。经对急救出车记录与医院记录进行人工审查后，共有908名患者被排除，排除原因包括：年龄小于16岁、社会保障号缺失、急救转运至纳入区域外的医院、重复的急救出车记录、文档信息不足、ESS编码错误以及二次转运。最终纳入本研究的患者共计6354名。
