Activity of the Animal Protection Centre: Figures are provided since 2004 by type of animal, differentiating three groups (dogs, cats and others): Number of income Average percentage of occupancy of facilities Animal collection service adopted Animals sterilised animals Actuations on urban cat populations: Information on interventions in cat colonies (global data of the city and by districts). In actions on urban cat populations, no global data for the year 2016 are provided due to a change in the strategies of action that have introduced changes in the configuration of the data that were being provided. These strategies are derived from the approval of the ‘Procedure for the management of requests for collaboration of the City of Madrid in the consolidation of controlled colonies of urban cats for reasons of sustainability and animal welfare’ and the entry into force of Law 4/2016 of the Protection of Animals of Company of the Community of Madrid. Among them is the promotion of the management of urban cat populations through controlled feline colonies, which will allow to control the number of urban cats in a natural and effective way.动物保护中心运营情况：自2004年起按动物类别提供统计数据，分为犬类、猫类及其他三类，统计指标涵盖：接收动物数量、设施平均占用率、动物收容服务开展情况、被领养动物数量以及绝育动物数量。 城市猫群干预行动：包含针对猫群干预措施的相关信息（涵盖全市及各行政区的全局统计数据）。 在城市猫群干预行动相关数据中，由于2016年管控策略发生调整，导致原有数据统计口径出现变更，因此该年度无全局统计数据可供公开。本次策略调整源于两项政策文件的出台：一是马德里市批准的《为推动可持续发展与动物福利，开展城市受控猫群巩固工作的合作申请管理规程》，二是马德里自治区《2016年第4号伴侣动物保护法》正式施行。其中包括推广通过受控猫群开展城市猫群管理的模式，该模式可实现以自然且高效的方式管控城市猫只数量。
