Influenza A mutations and host immune response

The aim of this project was to evaluate the contribution of the host immune response on mutation of influenza virus proteins. Mice were differentially vaccinated and infected with 2009 pandemic H1N1 and A/Fort Monmouth/1/1947, respectively, to generate immune backgrounds prior to challenge. Mice were then challenged with A/Mexico/4108/2009 and virus and host RNA were sequenced at 3 days post challenge. These samples include the virus sequences only.
