Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, Jolly Roger, colony 11 Platygyra daedalea, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集为在法国海外领地马约特岛开展的野外调查成果。马约特隶属于印度洋西部（Western Indian Ocean, WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部的科摩罗群岛。2021年10月至2025年9月期间，研究团队通过10次野外调查，对5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统完成采样。该批采样生态系统涵盖水深2至8米范围内的岸礁（fringing reef, F）与内部斑块礁（inner patch reefs, IPR）两种礁型，具体采样点位包括国际机场礁（Aéroport International）、布兰科岛礁（Île Blanche）、乔利罗杰礁（Jolly Roger）、恩古贾礁（N'Gouja）与瑟普赖斯礁（Surprise）。
