23 CRF Part 667 requires the Department of Transportation to identify Federal-Aid roads, highways, bridges that are impacted by natural catastrophic events and how many times a location receives Emergency Relief (ER) funding. The Department and MPOs are to take these sites into consideration during the development of the TIP and STIP. The Office of Work Program created the FlDOT OWPB - Emergency Report - Permanent Repair application to provide a method for identifying financial projects for Permanent Emergency Relief Repairs. Work Program data is continuously being updated when projects are updated. The Office of Work Program creates a unique identifier for each event. Not all events will have a need for ER funds, so only those events with ER funds will be recorded in RCI. The typical format is two-digit year followed by two-character abbreviation for the event. (e.g. 05CR for 2005 Hurricane Charley). This dataset shows the number of events on a segment of road. A segment is defined as a roadway identifier and a begin and end mile point. Where the roadway, begin point, and end point are all the same, the number of events are calculated. Please utilize both the line and point data to determine the total number of events for a given roadway. This dataset is maintained by the Transportation Data & Analytics office (TDA).
