Modulation of brain dead induced inflammation by vagus nerve stimulation

Our study demonstrates impairment of the parasympathetic nervous system during BD and inhibition of serum TNFa through vagal stimulation. Vagus nerve stimulation variably affected gene expression in donor organs and improved renal function in recipients.本研究证实，双相情感障碍（BD）发作期间副交感神经系统（parasympathetic nervous system）功能受损，且迷走神经刺激（vagal stimulation）可抑制血清肿瘤坏死因子α（TNF-α）。迷走神经刺激对供体器官的基因表达存在差异性影响，并可改善受体的肾功能。
