nosZ clade II sequences from semi-arid cotton cropping systems

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the soil chemical and biological changes that occur when switching from conventional agricultural practices to conservation practices such as no-tillage and cover crops. It also evaluated different nitrogen timings to determine overall best practices. N2O production and consumption were determined and qPCR data indicated greater nosZ clade II presence. A subset of samples was sequenced for nosZ clade II.
