Time Series of Dairy Cow Activity and Barn Area Use

The Dairy Cow Activity and Area Use Time Series Dataset contains high-resolution behavioral data from 20 lactating Brown Swiss and Swiss Fleckvieh cows housed in a cubicle barn. The dataset includes activity measurements recorded with IceTag pedometers and barn area use tracked with the SMARTBOW sensor system, collected at 1-minute intervals over 55 consecutive days. It was analyzed in the study "Can we detect patterns in behavioral time series of cows using cluster analysis?" by Stachowicz, Joanna et al., published in the Journal of Dairy Science (Vol. 105, Issue 12, pp. 9971-9981).
