Community productivity values (measured as mg O₂ m^-2 day^-1) for A) Net ecosystem production (<i>NEP</i>), B) gross primary production (<i>GPP</i>), C) ecosystem respiration (<i>Re</i>), and D) the Range between <i>GPP</i> and <i>Re</i> (<i>Range</i>) estimated for each habitat on each island.

Data reflect the means (SD) of the replicate chambers in each habitat (kelp Forests, Urchin Barrens and Transition Habitats). Positive values for NEP reflect net oxygen production and negative values reflect oxygen consumption (net respiration).
