National Soil Map

The National Soil Map (NATMAP) was published in 1983 after four years of intensive work by the field survey teams of the National Soil Resources Institute. It is the product of free survey with an average of 2 to 3 soil observations per sq km outside areas mapped during more detailed soil survey. A new improved version of the National Soil Map was introduced in 2001. It includes complete urban soil coverage and increased accuracy of line work. Every map polygon contains many attribute properties. A key attribute, SOILGUIDE_URL, contains a web link to our Soilsguide information with lots of information about the specific soil type selected.
