Next-generation sequencing of microRNAs in different locations of hair follicles (bulb, bugle)in androgenetic alopecia

To fully interrogate location-specific variations of microRNAs of the hair follicle in AGA and normal persons, we sought to perform a thorough and comprehensive microRNA profiling of different locations of hair follicles (bulb portions, bugle portions) Hair follicles harvested by follicular unit extraction came respectively from vertex (balding) and occipital (nonbalding) areas from 12 patients and occipital areas from 12 control subjects. Using microdissection, hair follicle was separated into two part为全面解析雄激素性脱发（Androgenetic Alopecia, AGA）患者与正常人群毛囊内微小RNAs（microRNAs）的部位特异性差异，本研究拟对毛囊不同部位（毛球部（bulb portions）、漏斗部（bugle portions））开展全面且深入的微小RNA表达谱分析。通过毛囊单位提取术（follicular unit extraction, FUE）获取的毛囊，分别取自12例AGA患者的头顶（秃发区）与枕部（非秃发区），以及12名对照受试者的枕部区域。本研究将通过显微解剖技术，将毛囊分离为两个部分。
