The National Park Gesäuse Partnership: From resistance to cooperation

This master thesis examines why the Gesäuse Partnership National Park was founded in 2004 and how it developed from then until today. The aim of this thesis is to describe the emergence and development of the Gesäuse National Park partnership, in which more than 80 companies from the region are currently working with the Gesäuse National Park. The analysis of questionnaires, interviews, observations and documents has shown that the partnership has developed into a stable network of regional companies that cooperate with the Gesäuse National Park as well as with each other. The original scepticism of the locals over the construction of the National Park was largely overcome and many local businesses could be motivated to cooperate. The partnership has also created a new social capital in the Gesäuse and helped to strengthen the local economy.本硕士论文探究了格萨乌国家公园伙伴关系（Gesäuse Partnership National Park）于2004年成立的动因，以及其自创立至今的发展历程。 本论文的研究目标为阐述格萨乌国家公园伙伴关系的诞生与发展脉络，当前该伙伴关系已有超过80家区域企业与格萨乌国家公园开展合作。通过对问卷、访谈、观测记录及文献资料的分析，研究表明该伙伴关系已发展为稳定的区域企业合作网络，成员企业不仅与格萨乌国家公园展开协作，彼此间亦保持合作。最初当地民众对国家公园建设所持的质疑态度已基本消解，诸多本土企业亦被调动起合作积极性。此外，该伙伴关系还为格萨乌地区创造了全新的社会资本，助力当地经济发展。
