The Web Map Service called Biogeographic Regions allows the visualisation and consultation of the data set of areas with common climatic, orographic and geobotanical characteristics. The Habitat Directive establishes seven biogeographical regions: Alpine, Atlantic, Borealis, Continental, Macaronesian, Mediterranean and canonical. Subsequently, after the accession to the European Union of Romania and Bulgaria, places of the Stapic regions and the Black Sea are added, to protect specific areas of these two countries. This layer shows the four terrestrial biogeographic regions of the Directive that are present in Spain: Atlantic, Alpine, Mediterranean and Macaronesian.

名为生物地理区域（Biogeographic Regions）的网络地图服务（Web Map Service, WMS），支持对具备统一气候、地貌与地植物学特征的区域数据集进行可视化展示与查询。《栖息地指令（Habitat Directive）》划定了七类生物地理区域：阿尔卑斯（Alpine）、大西洋（Atlantic）、北方（Borealis）、大陆（Continental）、马卡罗尼西亚（Macaronesian）、地中海（Mediterranean）与典范（canonical）区域。后续，在罗马尼亚与保加利亚加入欧盟后，为保护两国的特定区域，新增了斯塔皮克（Stapic）区域与黑海区域。本图层展示了该指令中在西班牙境内存在的四类陆地生物地理区域：大西洋、阿尔卑斯、地中海与马卡罗尼西亚区域。
