Austria ́s Annual Greenhouse Gas Inventory 1990-2011

In "Austria's Annual Greenhouse Gas Inventory 1990-2011" the Umweltbundesamt presents updated figures of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Austria. In 2011, the fourth year of the first commitment period under the Kyoto Protocol, GHG emissions amounted to 82.8 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents. This corresponds to a 6.0% increase against the base-year level and to a 2.6% decrease compared to 2010. The key driver for the decrease from 2010 to 2011 was the decreasing consumption of fossil fuels due to mild temperatures and the high crude oil price. Content and format of this report are in accordance with the obligations under the greenhouse gas monitoring mechanism 280/2004/EC for implementing the Kyoto Protocol. Updated emission data have to be reported yearly to the European Commission by 15 January at the latest.

《1990-2011年奥地利年度温室气体清单》中，奥地利联邦环境局（Umweltbundesamt）公布了奥地利境内温室气体（Greenhouse Gas, GHG）排放的更新数据。2011年作为《京都议定书》第一承诺期的第四个年份，该国温室气体排放量达8280万吨二氧化碳当量，较基准年水平上升6.0%，较2010年下降2.6%。2010年至2011年排放量下滑的核心驱动因素为：气温偏高与原油价格高企共同导致化石燃料消费量减少。本报告的内容与格式符合为实施《京都议定书》而制定的(EC)第280/2004号温室气体监测机制的相关义务要求。更新后的排放数据需最晚于每年1月15日前报送至欧盟委员会（European Commission）。
