Here, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing and studied gene expression in 107,427 midbrain single cells from adolescent mice that were exposed to either morphine (5 mg/kg/day) or saline neonatally for 5 days. To assess the impact of gut microbiome-targeted intervention, we also performed scRNA-seq on midbrain cells from neonatally morphine-exposed mice supplemented with the probiotic Bifidobacterium infantis (B. Infantis).

本研究通过单细胞RNA测序(single-cell RNA sequencing, scRNA-seq),对107427个青春期小鼠的中脑单细胞的基因表达水平展开分析。实验所用小鼠在新生期分别接受了为期5天的吗啡(5 mg/kg/天)或生理盐水暴露处理。为评估靶向肠道菌群干预的影响,本研究还对新生期暴露于吗啡、且补充了益生菌婴儿双歧杆菌(Bifidobacterium infantis, B. Infantis)的小鼠的中脑细胞,开展了单细胞RNA测序分析。
