Slope Instability

Slope instability mapping was generated in general accordance with the Australian Geomechanics Society Guidelines for Landslide Risk Management (2007a). The mapping was undertaken over 2021-2025, and identifies areas that could be susceptible to slope instability. Four categories of slope instability and run-out susceptibility are shown: Tier I (areas of known active instability with previous slope failures impacting residential properties) Tier II (areas identified as having elevated susceptibility to slope instability) Tier III (areas identified as susceptible to slope instability) Run-out zones (areas where debris from upslope instability may run out into)
