Acts One to Four were each drafted as a separate manuscript, and each carries its own editing history. The four were then brought together into a single document, where Act Five and all consolidation and revision were carried out. This record draws the four per-act histories together and adds the active-writing history of that combined manuscript. Like the individual reports it consolidates, it stands as a testament to an entirely human, manual writing process, documented through an unbroken digital audit trail. The combined tally In its most recent untrimmed version, the assembled manuscript runs to 727 pages, approximately 14,468 sentences, 147,716 words and 848,944 characters. Of this, the four documented acts contribute a drafted body of approximately 115,800 words; Act Five, together with the expansion and revision carried out once the acts were combined, brings the manuscript to its full extent. The active composition and editing time across the four drafting windows totals thirty eight hours and forty eight minutes, and a further nineteen hours and thirty six minutes was logged on the combined manuscript, for fifty eight hours and twenty four minutes of active writing across the project, exclusive of the offline hours spent in longhand, at the piano, and in reading passes. The forensic signature of the whole refutes any automated or algorithmic generation as plainly as each act does on its own. Across the four acts, Act One and Act Three between them record 108,805 keystrokes, deletions and micro-edits, while Act Two and Act Four between them record 109,688 revision timepoints. On the combined manuscript, 59,479 insertion activities were logged against 8,448 deletions, a ratio of just over seven to one, the signature of a forward-driven draft rather than the iterative refinement of external output. Every recorded change carries a single contributor, Alexander Paul Burton, accounting for one hundred per cent of the manuscript. Act by act Act One. Originating on 21 May 2026 at 07:55 and reaching its structural freeze on 2 June 2026 at 16:38, this act represents six hours and ten minutes of highly active, direct composition across a twelve day window. It grew to roughly 1,676 sentences, 17,264 words and 101,753 characters. A total of 47,944 keystrokes, deletions and micro-edits were captured, at a distinctively human drafting speed of forty seven words per minute, with 171 major structural checkpoints recorded at intervals of at least one minute and forty four seconds. Act Two: The Consensus of Stars. Composed across one hundred and eight days, from the last morning of November 2025 to a March evening in 2026. The active editing clock stopped at eight hours and thirty five minutes, with total contribution time reaching thirteen hours and ten minutes once idle and reading passes are included. Set against 46,457 finished words, that works out to a live typing pace of roughly ninety one words per minute. The revision profile is unusually clean for prose of this length: 34,637 insertion events against 4,692 deletions gives a ratio of 7.4 to 1, with only 493 formatting actions across a 269,000 character document, and 38,756 logged timepoints tracing a rhythm of steady daily work rather than a single sprint. Act Three. Beginning on 6 June 2026 at 11:11 and reaching its final recorded edit on 24 June 2026 at 07:22, this act represents nine hours and thirty one minutes of active, direct composition across an eighteen day window. It grew to roughly 2,612 sentences, 25,180 words and 144,085 characters. A total of 60,861 keystrokes, deletions and micro-edits were captured, at a drafting speed of forty five words per minute, with 88 major structural checkpoints recorded at intervals of at least five minutes and ten seconds. Act Four: Mirror Lives. Composed in a concentrated seven day sprint between 16 and 23 February 2026. Though roughly fifty eight per cent the length of The Consensus of Stars in word count, about 26,900 words, the manuscript logged 70,932 revision timepoints, nearly double the first volume, and fourteen hours and thirty two minutes of active editing against eight hours and thirty five minutes for the first book. Total session engagement reached twenty five hours across the week. The insertion to deletion ratio holds at roughly 6.9 to 1, again characteristic of forward drafting. Average active typing rate reads thirty two words per minute, roughly a third of the pace registered on the first book, consistent with a manuscript held for longer per session and revised in line for continuity with the preceding volume. Formatting activity rose to 1,424 events, in line with the greater number of appendices and interior structural elements the book carries. Several appendices and technical passages were sketched offline before transcription, reflected in the report's own note of offline typing detection. The combined manuscript Once the four acts were brought into a single document, a further editing history was captured on the assembled manuscript. Between the first edit on 8 August 2026 at 10:50 and the last on 8 September 2026 at 07:21, the combined document records nineteen hours and thirty six minutes of active writing time, distributed across many separate sessions and breaks rather than a single sitting, with the recorded contribution spanning five days and eleven hours of total engagement. Act Five, and the consolidation and revision of all five acts into one manuscript, were carried out in this pass. Of the 66,291 available changes logged, 59,479 were insertions, 8,448 deletions and 337 formatting operations. At completion the assembled manuscript stands at 727 pages, 14,468 sentences, 147,716 words and 848,944 characters. Paste activity in this window reflects the assembling of the four separately drafted acts into the single document, and offline typing was again detected, consistent with passages sketched away from the keyboard before transcription. A note on the metrics The reports are not captured against an identical template. Act One and Act Three log raw keystrokes, deletions and micro-edits, together with sentence counts and coarse structural checkpoints. Act Two and Act Four log revision timepoints, insertion and deletion events, and formatting operations at a finer granularity, so cross-act figures are summed like against like. Act Four's word count is given as approximately fifty eight per cent of Act Two, from which the four-act body total is derived. The counts for the assembled manuscript are drawn from the most recent untrimmed version of the combined document, and its active-writing figure is measured on that document separately from the per-act drafting times. The full per-act data is retained in the individual provenance appendices.
