Atlas of the landscapes of the Haute-Garonne: the Hills of the Volvestre

This dataset proposes the geographical outline of the landscape unit of the Volvestre Hills. The landscape unit of the Collines du Volvestre spreads between the Garonne valley, in the west, and the Ariège valley in the east. It lies in the South with the reliefs of Lesser Pyrenees, an extension of the Plantaurel chain. Adjoining the department of Ariège, its landscapes extend far beyond the departmental boundary. While the Garonne and Ariège valleys partly draw its limits, it settles between two large collinar ensembles: Gers in the West and Lauragais in the East. The Volvestre is described as a territory of agricultural hills.
