This study created three novel datasets designated as SR, MR1 and MR2 for evaluating the performance of 2D LiDAR-based human tracking systems in obstacle avoidance scenarios. These datasets were recorded using a motion capture system equipped with six Vicon Vero 2.2 cameras, and provide precise position and orientation data for both robots and humans under different motion patterns. During the experiments, participants performed straight-line walking and random walking within a 4m×4m area, while robots moved with varying motion patterns to ensure that participants were always within the field of view of the LiDAR. These datasets aim to test the tracking performance of the systems in close-range scenarios, especially when obstacle avoidance is required.
