Operating areas according to SEVESO in Saarland. The European Directive 2012/18/EU of 4 July 2012 (Seveso III Directive) is intended to control major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances. These with the Accident Ordinance (12. BImSchV) Directive transposed into German law regulates in particular the obligations of operators of particularly hazardous industrial plants.
