Tensile tests are performed on dumbbell-shaped standard specimens using a tensile testing machine with constant-speed moving grips or pulleys. The force and elongation values required during continuous stretching and at specimen fracture are recorded as specified. Tensile strength, elongation at break and other performance results are calculated via the following formulas: Strain (%) = (Deformation / Standard Gauge Length) × 100%, Stress (MPa) = Force / (Thickness × Width). The calculated performance results are compared against national standards or customer technical requirements to evaluate whether the tensile properties of the sample are qualified, which serves as the basis for determining whether production processes or formulations need to be improved and whether the product meets customer requirements. 1. Sample Collection: Prepare Type I dumbbell-shaped specimens in accordance with the technical requirements of Chinese National Standard GB/T 528-2009. Measure the thickness and width of the test bar using a thickness gauge and vernier caliper respectively, and draw two reference lines with a spacing of 25mm ± 0.5mm. 2. Sample Testing: Symmetrically clamp the specimen to the upper and lower grips of the tensile testing machine to ensure uniform distribution of tensile force across the cross-section of the test bar. Set the tensile speed to 500 ± 50 mm/min, then click the "Start" button on the touch panel to conduct the test. 3. Data Collection: Export the deformation (mm) and force (N) values after completing the test for each sample set. 4. Data Calculation: Strain (%) = (Deformation / Standard Gauge Length) × 100%; Stress (MPa) = Force / (Thickness × Width); 5. Judgment Criterion: According to the technical requirements of the sample, the specimen is classified as a qualified product if its maximum stress value is ≥7 MPa and its maximum strain value is ≥150%. If either parameter fails to meet the technical requirements, it is classified as a non-qualified product. This serves as the basis for determining whether production processes or formulations need to be improved.
