Telomere to-telomere gapless genome assembly and annotation of <i>Triplophysa yaopeizhii</i>

The genus <i>Triplophysa</i> is one of the predominant fish groups on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP). With the intensification of human impacts, the resources of <i>Triplophysa yaopeizhii</i>, which mainly distributed in the upper reaches of Jinsha River, have gradually decreased. Our study utilized PacBio HiFi, Ultra-long ONT, and Hi-C sequencing to construct the telomere-to-telomere (T2T) gapless genome assembly of <i>Triplophysa yaopeizhii</i>. This is the first T2T genome assembly of the genus <i>Triplophysa</i>. The high-quality genome serves as an essential reference for elucidating the adaptive genetic mechanisms of plateau fish to the unique high-altitude.
