The IEEE standard nodal distribution system was constructed using PSCAD. Scenarios for early fault detection of single-phase-to-ground fault and two-phase-to-ground fault with non-identical phases were established. The early fault detection method for grounded faults in low-current grounding systems based on composite criteria was verified through simulations. The detection performance of the proposed method under different fault resistances was analyzed, and a corresponding dataset was compiled. This dataset contains detailed data items for all figures and tables in the case study section of the paper *Early Fault Detection for Grounded Faults in Low-current Grounding Systems Based on Composite Criteria* by Chu Tianxin, Zhang Wenhai, Qu Ke et al., published in *High Voltage Engineering*, 2022, 48(03): 1022-1031. The total size of the dataset is 320 KB.
