National EU Reference Laboratory for Air Pollutants Calibration Workshop 2008

In the Federal Environment Agency, a calibration workshop is held annually for measurement network operators of the Austrian federal states as well as other operators of measurement networks in order to ensure the traceability of calibration standards for air pollutants to the calibration standards of the Federal Environment Agency. At the calibration workshop from January to March 2008, the deviations between the Federal Environment Agency's standard and those of the participating measurement network operators remained below one percent for the ozone component in most cases. Deviations of up to about 3% were found for sulphur dioxide and up to about 1.5% for nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. As part of this workshop, the flow measurement equipment and film sets for radiometric particulate matter measurement devices were also compared with a film set from the Federal Environment Agency.
