Trichomalopsis sarcophagae strain:Alberta Genome sequencing and assembly

Trichomalopsis sarcophagae creates a monophyletic clade with the Nasonia genus and is considered its sister taxa. Because Nasonia is an emerging model organism, the genome of T. sarsophagae provides important evolutionary information to map key molecular innovations in the Nasonia clade. Besides, T. sarsophagae is distributed throughout North America, is a generalist that can parasitize species from Diptera, Coleoptera, and Lepidoptera, and is used as a biocontrol agent.
