资源简介:
IBAs are sites of major interest that host wild birds found to be of Community or European importance. Their inventory was drawn up by the Ministry of the Environment following the adoption of the European Birds Directive. The most suitable IBAs for the conservation of the most endangered Birds should be classified in whole or in part as Special Protection Areas (SPAs). These Special Protection Areas, associated with Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) resulting from the Habitats Directive, will form the network of Natura 2000 sites. This Directive requires Member States to prohibit killing or intentionally catching them, destroying or damaging their nests, collecting their eggs from the wild, intentionally disturbing them or keeping them (except for species authorised for hunting). Annex I to the Birds Directive lists the most threatened species in the Community. Each country of the European Union is responsible for inventorying areas of importance for the conservation of birds and for monitoring and monitoring species there. In France, the inventory of IBAs was conducted in 1990/91 by the League for the Protection of Birds and the Natural Heritage Department of the National Museum of Natural History on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment. (definition from: Aten, Legal Sheets 1998 & Glossary EIDER)
