Air quality monitoring stations in Austria as of January 2011

As of January 2011, the report describes all legally operated air quality monitoring stations in Austria – measuring stations for gaseous air pollutants, suspended dust, wet deposition and dust deposition, as well as the meteorological monitoring stations. These measuring points are operated by the offices of the state governments, the Federal Environment Agency and the Federal Research and Training Centre for Forests, Natural Hazards and Landscapes. In addition, the measuring points for ultraviolet radiation are recorded, which are operated by the University of Innsbruck on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management in cooperation with the operators of the air quality networks and the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics.
