We propose a deep 100 ks observation of the Odd Radio Circle (ORC) J0624-6948 alow-surface brightness radio ring lying between the Galactic plane and theLarge Magellanic Cloud (LMC).With a diameter of 3.3 arcmin a flatter radio spectral index the lack of aprominent central galaxy as a possible host and a larger apparent size comparedto other ORCs it is likely a supernova remnant in a rarefied environmenteither from an isolated type Ia SN or a hypervelocity runaway massive star.The proposed observation will look for the faint extended X-ray counterpartexpected providing key physical parameters such as age and ambient density andhelp to ascertain the type of progenitor.
