Placements, Road Weather Information Stations

This dataset contains metadata for each Road Weather Information Station in Denmark that is collected by the Danish Meteorological Institute for use in the Danish Road Directorate's road weather system (VejVejr). The stations are frequently located along roadsides and directly with sensors that measure both atmospheric conditions and road conditions. The metadata is based on the latest station measurement. If a parameter is temporarily unavailable or removed during validation, it will not appear in the metadata. Users should therefore retrieve metadata carefully. It provides descriptive information about the stations and their measurement setup, including station location and the metric index used in the measurement dataset, “Measurement, Road Weather Information Stations (Weather)”. The metric index examined the measurement position: Index 0 applied to atmospheric measurements, while index values 1 to 6 are used for measurements taken in or on the road.
