Structured visual macrofungi morphotype indicators from Samur-Yalama National Park, Azerbaijan

This dataset provides structured visual macrofungi morphotype indicators from Samur-Yalama National Park, Azerbaijan. The dataset is based on field photographs documented in October 2025 and includes 18 macrofungi morphotypes coded as MF01–MF18. The dataset includes morphotype codes, preliminary visual identification, substrate and habitat context, ecological role, bioindicator relevance, and figure captions. The identifications are based on visible macromorphological characteristics observed in field photographs, including cap shape, colour, growth form, substrate and habitat context. Since microscopic and molecular analyses were not conducted, the taxonomic names are presented as probable genus or group-level identifications rather than confirmed species records. This dataset is intended to support a bioindicator-based study on macrofungi, dendrophilous birds, forest biodiversity, ecotourism and green economy opportunities in Samur-Yalama National Park.
