Temelin 3 & 4 NPP

On the occasion of the expansion of the Temelin nuclear power plant, two bilateral consultation meetings were held as part of the cross-border environmental impact assessment procedure. These dealt with the environmental impact statement and the expert opinion drawn up by the Austrian Energy Agency and the Austrian Ecology Institute on behalf of the Ministry of Life. The Federal Environment Agency supervises the procedure in terms of content and organisation. The consultation report describes the extent to which the outstanding issues discussed during the consultation meetings have been addressed and makes recommendations that should be taken into account in the further steps of the procedure. Priority was given to the analysis of potential cross-border effects of the project.
