Global High-Resolution Cooling and Heating Degree Day Grid Dataset
收藏资源简介:
Climate change has increased the global cooling period and shortened the heating period. Refrigeration and heating are widely used in many fields such as climate change, energy planning, and electricity. It has important scientific significance for assessing climate comfort and energy demand. In this study, a 2-meter temperature grid dataset of global cooling and heating day days from 1981 to 2023 was created using the fifth generation land reanalysis meteorological dataset (ERA5 Land reanalysis meteorological dataset) from the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). Compared with the global CDD and HDD calculated using Global Surface Daily Summary (GSOD), the coefficients of determination (R) are 0.84 and 0.97, respectively. This dataset has high accuracy and can well reflect the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of global cooling and heating days. It can provide data support for climate comfort and energy consumption research in different regions of the world. Arabic numerals
