Ushabti UB-006 (Beckers Ushabti Collection): Usurped wooden ushabti with inscription

v2 features extended epigraphic documentation addressing its usurped inscription and historical context. Wooden ushabti with remains of polychrome decoration, dated to the New Kingdom and most plausibly to the 19th Dynasty (ca. 1292–1186 BCE). The figure preserves clear evidence of ancient usurpation: the original inscription was partially erased and replaced by a shorter text within a red frame. The surviving hieroglyphs include the personal name Jt.f (“his father”) and an abbreviated version of Book of the Dead Spell 6 invoking Osiris. Material features and repainting strongly support a Ramesside secondary inscription phase. The object is presented here with detailed metadata, inscription analysis, and high-resolution imagery. It forms part of the Beckers Private Ushabti Collection, a research-focused private collection documenting the development of Egyptian funerary figurines.
