FIG S6 Ability of transition metals (Cu, Zn, Ni) to oxidize TNB. Oxidation of 30 µM 2-nitro-5-thiobenzoic acid (TNB) in 10 mM HEPES-KOH (pH 7.4) by addition of 1 µM CuCl2, ZnSO4, or NiSO4 was measured by loss of absorbance at 412 nm (n=3 experimental replicates; error bars of 1 standard deviation).
