ARM Aerial Facility (AAF) Condensation Particle Counter

The acxaafcpcF1.b1 datastream contains measurements of aerosol concentration from the ARM Aerial Facility (AAF) Condensation Particle Counter. This instrument measures sub-micron aerosol particle number concentration by condensing fluid onto particles and causing them to grow to sizes that are easily detectable by optical scattering, typically using an alcohol or water as the condensing liquid. The data were collected at Facility F1 (ACAPEX; Gulfstream 159 Aircraft), which is part of the acx site (Eastern North Pacific Ocean; Mobile Facility for ACAPEX), between January 8, 2015, and March 8, 2015.
