Waste electrical equipment treatment in Austria
收藏资源简介:
The study collected treatment facilities, technologies and capacities for waste electrical appliances (WEEE) as well as treatment volumes. Austria has sufficient capacity for the initial treatment of approximately 60,000 tonnes of EAEC collected in 2006: Large appliances are mechanically processed in six large shredder plants, small electrical appliances are removed from pollutants by manually disassembling or mechanically pre-crushing them and components with dangerous ingredients are cremated. From display screen devices housings are dismantled, in some cases also image tubes are treated, refrigerators and freezers with automatic suction machines and in encapsulated crushing plants, gas discharge lamps are treated by means of a Kapp-separation process. For types of equipment such as flat screens and for certain wastes such as lamps, treatment or recycling is unresolved.
