The power curve of wind turbines has only a certain range of relevant wind parameters, such as turbulence intensity, inclined flow and wind shear. In reality, however, these areas of validity are exceeded in many locations. For example, increased turbulence occurs especially at forest sites or too dense placement of wind turbines. Therefore, a flat-rate deduction of approximately 6% is recommended when using the site yield.
