Electronic Base Dictionary of Estonian Idiomatic Expressions

The Estonian basic electronic dictionary of phraseologisms is a conceptual dictionary where phraseologisms are organized according to conceptual relationships. The dictionary as a semantic-lexical language technology resource contains 20749 Estonian phraseologisms, which have been analysed on the principles of cognitive linguistics. The Estonian base dictionary of phraseologisms is the original conceptual base dictionary of phraseology, similar to the earlier dictionaries in Estonian. The comprehensive semantic, syntactic and morphological description of Estonian phraseologisms provided in the Dictionary may serve as a starting point for the following dictionaries of the same content or of other phraseologisms. Fraseologisms are also easy to find in the dictionary if the user does not know which specific word compound or form to search for, but is able to associate what is being searched with one of the term categories.
