The sbsaospsap3wS2.b1 datastream contains measurements from the Aerosol Observing System (AOS) 3-wavelength Particle Soot Absorption Photometer. This instrument collects aerosol particles on a substrate and measures the change in light transmission relative to a reference filter to derive bulk particle absorption, correcting for scattering effects. The data were collected at Facility S2 (Steamboat Springs, CO, Christie Peak), which is located at the SBS site (Steamboat Springs, CO, USA, Mobile Facility for STORMVEX), between December 30, 2010, and April 25, 2011.
