Spontaneous Order Register — MHRC Informal Care Practices, Manipal Hospice and Respite Care, 2025–2026

Primary fieldwork dataset documenting 41 informal care practices observed across 9 patient vignettes (P-1 to P-9) at Manipal Hospice and Respite Care (MHRC), Manipal, during the Stories That Matter Community Impact Internship, MISHA/MAHE Manipal, April–June 2026. Practices are coded using five simultaneous analytical frameworks: Hayekian spontaneous order theory (H-UNINTEND, H-TACIT, H-SUPERIOR, H-FEEDBACK), Mengerian subjective welfare theory (M-PRODUCE, M-NONTRADE, M-DEFINE, M-NEED), Kirznerian entrepreneurial alertness, Everly's Psychological First Aid triage taxonomy (Johns Hopkins RAPID PFA), and Ayurvedic clinical tradition (Charaka Samhita). A sixth dimension — the Speech-Swallow-Soul (Vāk) Triad — documents which of the three simultaneous oropharyngeal losses each practice addresses. The dataset comprises two files: (1) a structured PDF register presenting all 41 practices across 7 thematic categories with full coding, patient response, and Ayurvedic domain columns; and (2) a machine-readable CSV with 14 fields per practice. All patient data is fully anonymised. Patients are referred to as P-1 through P-9 only. No clinical identifiers, names, diagnoses, or family details are included.
