Hometowns and Commutes of Grinnell Faculty and Staff

Using data available about the hometowns of Grinnell's faculty and staff and estimated round-trip distances of their daily commutes, we constructed a chart comparing the total amount of carbon emissions coming from each town in which Grinnell faculty and staff reside. The purpose of the chart is to demonstrate how an increase in carpooling among people who work at the college would positively impact the environment.
