These so-called public property restrictions (ÖREB for short) are mandatory for landowners. The cadastre of public property restrictions (ÖREB cadastre) lists the most important restrictions that affect a plot of land due to legal provisions and official decrees. The main restrictions on ownership are made available to the public centrally, officially and reliably. The ÖREB cadastre thus complements the land register, which contains the restrictions under private law.
