PT2 class easements concern protection easements of radio transmission and reception centres against obstacles
They are instituted pursuant to Articles L. 54 to L.56-1 of the Postal and Electronic Communications Code in order to protect radio centres against physical obstacles that may hinder the spread of waves.
The base of a servitude is the space field (i.e., the geographical area) within which the servitude applies.
This space field may be defined either in 2D or in 3D in particular in the specific cases of airport release easements, radio transmission centre protection easements.The attitude shall include primary clearance zones, secondary clearance zones, special clearance zones and clearance areas.The maximum distance between the limit of a radio centre and the perimeter of the easement zones may not exceed:- 2 000 metres in the case of a secondary clearance zone;- 400 metres in the case of a primary clearance zone surrounding an aeronautical safety facility or a radio centre centre;
In practice, the beam shall be assimilated to a strip and the base shall not exceed 50 m on either side of the axis.The maximum width of a clearance area protecting a radio-navigation station shall not exceed the width of the angular sector explored by the station, increased, where appropriate, by a safety margin of not more than one degree beyond the two limits of that sector.
