Manage Wildfire Emergencies with Real Time Data Instructor Materials
收藏资源简介:
In this module, learners explore the ArcGIS REST API through a case study of real-time wildfire data. In the problem-based lab, learners create an advanced dashboard that updates with the real-time data and emphasizes important data to the user. The module asks students to (1) explore and understand APIs like the ArcGIS REST API, (2) integrate real-time data into a dashboard, and (3) configure a dashboard to highlight pertinent data for the user. Students will use Arcade expressions to calculate and display key fire metrics such as duration, growth, and containment. They will also configure dashboard elements—including maps, lists, and indicators—to highlight high-priority incidents and trigger alerts for emerging threats. Through this process, students will gain experience with data visualization, real-time analytics, and effective communication of geospatial information for emergency response. Links to the datasets used in the module are included in this Instructor Guide if instructors wish to have students apply these methods to another study area using the same data. Technical Requirements: This module uses ArcGIS Online and requires the learner to have an ArcGIS Online account.
