Natura 2000 network. Special Areas of Conservation (SAC)

Delimitation of Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and Sites of Community Interest (SCIs) established in accordance with the Habitat Directive. For the generation of this information is part of the first delimitation and approval of the Sites of Community Importance by Agreement of 15 May 2000, of the Government of Navarre, published in the Official Gazette of Navarra (B.O.N.) No. 68 of 5 June 2000. Subsequent updates have adapted the limits to the cadastral plot of Navarre obtaining the definitive SCIs. These limits constitute the official layer for management by the Government of Navarre. For the declaration of these spaces at European level, another layer is generated adapting the limits of each SCI to the official administrative limits of the IGN with the SRS EPSG 25830 and with NTv2 grid of the year 2009 recommended by the IGN. Together with the Management Plan, a Foral Decree is prepared that declares each place definitively as a Special Conservation Area.
